Austin Flajser is a Managing Principal of Sutton Square. From 2016–2025, he served as President & CEO of CarrAmerica, providing day-to-day oversight of more than 40 coworking, hotel, commercial and retail assets across nine markets, totaling more than $1 billion in gross asset value. He began his career in real estate development before joining Carr Hospitality in 2007 as one of its first team members.
Austin holds a B.S. from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s in Real Estate from Georgetown University, and a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University. He has also served on the boards of several real estate and community organizations in the Washington, DC region.

Matt Buhts is a Managing Principal of Sutton Square. From 2018–2025, he served as Chief Financial Officer of CarrAmerica, where he led the team responsible for the acquisition and financing of all real estate projects in the portfolio. Previously, Matt was Director of Acquisitions at Clark Enterprises, Inc., where he sourced and structured joint venture equity investments for ground-up multifamily, office and hotel developments with a stabilized value of approximately $900 million. He also oversaw debt financing for a real estate portfolio with a gross value in excess of $2.7 billion.
Earlier in his career, Matt was an Assistant Vice President at iStar Financial and began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and a Master's Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
